SAKANA Group has formalized its membership as a collaborating partner of the Chair of Social Economy and Cooperativism at the Public University of Navarre (UPNA). With this step, we join an academic project that promotes research, teaching, and knowledge transfer around the field of Social Economy—sharing this purpose with Navarra Capital and Liceo Monjardín School, who have also joined in this new stage.
The signing of the agreement took place at an event chaired by Sandra Cavero, Director of the Chair, and Ignacio Ugalde, President of ANEL, the organization driving the initiative. Representing SAKANA Group were its President, Gorka Eceolaza, along with Jesús Jiménez, President of the Governing Council of Navarra Capital, and Edgar Andueza, Director of Liceo Monjardín.
With this partnership, SAKANA Group reaffirms its commitment to actively contribute to the Chair’s lines of work. “We want to bring our vision and experience to continue proving that another business model is possible—one that is competitive, innovative, and above all, human,” said Gorka Eceolaza, President of the cooperative.
Among the shared goals are supporting research projects in the areas of cooperativism and Social Economy, participating in university training programs, hosting interns, and organizing joint activities aimed at promoting this business model.
In addition, the partner entities will help drive doctoral theses and final academic projects, as well as foster continuing education activities, company visits, and outreach initiatives that bring Social Economy closer to society.
